Barefoot Gen (extra credit movie week7)

I just finished watching the anime and I wonder why I have never heard of  Barefoot Gen before.

Barefoot Gen was just so full of emotions and deep stories and meanings of life. It was just a great War anime it shows how wars can affect humans their life psychology etc.

I could feel at the same time hope, sadness, anger and so much more it was just so easy to feel like the characters. Also, I would say animes have really good facial expressions, and some gore looking disturbing kind of images were portrayed good too. The bombings were just disturbing that's what I'm trying to say but this means the work was done good feelings and ideas came across. I just could not imagine how it must have been like but through this work, we see Keiji Nakazawa's experiences as a Hiroshima survivor. It is just a nice balance between education and a good story of history. I can't believe after so many things humanity went through how can the world still be in war? We also have far bigger problems these days with covid or global warming, coral reefs dying etc. So this movie was a good reminder to me too in a way.
